1. Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions given below it: Discipline must be enforced early in life. Discipline at home makes for the future greatness of a boy. It forms his character and makes him a fit citizen. The child who is allowed to have his own way becomes way–ward. The child who is allowed all sorts of excesses like running about in the sun, exposing himself to cold, eating wholesome things, as a result will fall ill frequently. A child, whose habits have been disciplined and who has been taught to rise early, attend to his lessons properly, take physical exercises at the proper time and avoid things that are injurious will grow up to be a useful member of the society. The spoilt child who has been allowed to run his own course will show vice in younger days. His parents would wish that he had not been born at all.

कक्षा 10th अंग्रेजी अर्द्धबार्षिक परीक्षा पेपर का पैटर्न कैसा रहेगा.
प्रश्न पत्र निर्माण हेतु विशेष निर्देश
- 40% वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्न,
- 40% विषयपरक प्रश्न,
- 20% विश्लेषणात्मक प्रश्न होंगे।
- प्रश्न क्रमांक 12,7,8,9 एवं 10 में वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्न होंगे। वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्न हेतु 1 अंक निर्धारित है।
- वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्नों को छोड़कर सभी प्रश्नों में आंतरिक विकल्प का प्रावधान होगा। यह विकल्प समान इकाई / उप इकाई से तथा समान कठिनाई स्तर वाले होंगे। इन प्रश्नों के उत्तरों की शब्द सीमा निम्नानुसार होगी
- अतिलघुउत्तरीय प्रश्न 02 अंक लगभग शब्द 30 शब्द
- लघुउत्तरीय प्रश्न 03 अंक लगभग शब्द 75 शब्द
- विश्लेषणात्मक 04 लगभग 120 शब्द

- सामान्य प्रश्न, 45%
- कठिन प्रश्न 15% ।
